UFC 220: Miocic vs. Ngannou is a packed card to get 2018 started off proper for the promotion. The card features a pair of title bouts between some of the biggest and best fighters in the world. The main event will see Stipe Miocic defend the UFC Heavyweight Championship against Francis Ngannou.
In the co-main event, Daniel Cormier will defend the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship against Volkan Oezdemir. Gian Villante, Thomas Almeida and Rob Font are other bigger names who will be fighting on the main card.
The pay-per-view main card is set to begin at 10 p.m. ET, with live streaming via the UFC directly. The preliminary card begins at 6:30 p.m. on UFC Fight Pass and continues at 8 p.m. broadcast by FS1, with live streaming via Fox Sports GO.
Cormier actually lost his last bout after defending his title a couple times, but Jon Jones failed a drug test, so the title reverts to Cormier. Cormier is 19-1 (1) as a professional, with the loss and the no contest both being to Jones. His opponent, Oezdemir, is a legitimate contender, with wins in his last five fights, including a knockout of Jimi Manuwa at UFC 214.
Miocic is 17-2, with two title defenses under his belt, against Alistair Overeem and, most recently, Junior dos Santos. He won the belt with a knockout win over Fabricio Werdum at UFC 198. Ngannou is coming off a huge knockout win over Overeem in his last fight, and before that earned a knockout over Andrei Arlovski.
