UFC 220: Start time, TV schedule for Miocic vs. Ngannou

Approximately 900 pounds of raw human aggression will be competing for a pair of championship belts, as the Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight straps are on the line at UFC 220: Miocic vs. Ngannou. The co-feature will see the 205-pound champion Daniel Cormier defend his belt against Volkan Oezdemir. In the main event, 265-pound champion Stipe Miocic will face Francis Ngannou.

Saturday’s action begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with the UFC Fight Pass prelims, continues at 8 p.m. with the FS1 prelims broadcast (live streaming via Fox Sports GO) and concludes with the pay-per-view main card at 10 p.m. ET. Other ways to stream the action can be found below.

Miocic is 17-2, with five consecutive wins in the heavyweight division. All five of those wins have been by knockout, and four of those came in the first round. His most recent bout was a successful title defense against Junior dos Santos, and before that he defended the belt against Alistair Overeem.

Overeem was trying to work his way back to rematch with Miocic, but he had to get through Ngannou, which he didn’t do. Instead, he was knocked out by Ngannou in the first round, which was Ngannou’s last bout. Before that, he knocked out Andrei Arlovski and is 11-1 as a professional.

Cormier had won four straight bouts before suffering a knockout loss to Jon Jones, who failed his drug test, which gave the belt back to Cormier. There will be doubters to his crown until he notches another win, and he has the very tough Oezdemir to contend with.

Oezdemir if 15-1 as a professional, with a knockout win over Jimi Manuwa in his last bout. He also owns wins over Misha Cirkunov and Ovince Saint Preux in his last three fights.

The main card will open with a bantamweight contest between Thomas Almeida and Rob Font. A light heavyweight bout between Gian Villante and Francimar Barroso is the second fight on the main card, while a featherweight contest between Calvin Kattar and Shane Burgos will precede the title fights.
