Cris Cyborg will defend the UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship against Yana Kunitskaya in the main event of UFC 222: Cyborg vs. Kunitskaya on Saturday. The pay-per-view card begins at 10 p.m. ET and can be purchased through your cable or satellite provider or from the UFC directly (online streaming available).
The card begins at 6:30 p.m. with the UFC Fight Pass prelims, which are streamed online. Fox Sports 1 picks up television coverage at 8 p.m. with more prelims (live streaming via Fox Sports GO), through to the main card.
And what a main card it is. Cyborg may be an overwhelming favorite, but she’s always exciting to watch, and there are some other big names on the card, including Stefan Struve and Frankie Edgar.
Cyborg is coming off a five-round unanimous decision win over Holly Holm, and prior to that won the vacant title in a match against Tonya Evinger, who herself beat Kunitskaya in Invicta FC. Kunitskaya is coming off a win over Raquel Pa’aluhi for the Invicta FC Bantamweight Championship.
Edgar, a former title holder, will be taking on the undefeated Brian Ortego in the co-feature. Struve, always entertaining to watch, will be takng on Andrei Arlovski, who must be in his fourth or fifth UFC run at this point. Highlights on the undercard include a bout between John Dodson and Pedro Munhoz, as well as a bout between Hector Lombard and C.B. Dolloway.
